California and National Elections

About This Site

Election 2006 is a project of the first-year reporting classes at the Graduate School of Journalism of the University of California at Berkeley. Students covered local, state and national election races, constantly updating their stories throughout the evening.

Coverage was coordinated by instructors Neil Henry, Lydia Chavez, Cynthia Gorney, Kathy Corcoran and Frances Dinkelspiel. Stories were edited by the professors and second-year student assistants Kara Andrade, Francisca Ortega, Claudia Lauer, Jeremy Rue and Zachary Slobig. The Web site was created by J-School Webmaster Scot Hacker, using the Movable Type database publishing system. Web assistants and second-year students Kara Andrade and Alexandra L Woodruff were in charge of posting and updating the stories.
