When this project started ... This Web site and its stories and graphics were produced by eight students at the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California at Berkeley. Their advanced news reporting course, “Reporting on Social Issues: Juvenile Violence,” originated in January, 1997 in conjunction with a video documentary on juvenile violence due to air on PBS as part of the acclaimed Frontline series.
