Measure B: Would extend the 1986
voter- approved, half-cent sales tax to fund
transportation projects such as BART, AC Transit,
ferry service, interstate highway improvements,
and transit services for seniors and disabled
persons. Measure D:
Would
create a new business license tax for firearms
dealers at a rate of $24 per $1,000 in gross
sales.
Measure E: Would amend the City
Charter to allow appointments to vacancies in the
four non-Mayoral appointee seats on the Public
Ethics Commission by a vote of at least four of
the members of the Public Ethics Commission. It
would also provide for staggered terms for both
Mayoral and non-Mayoral appointees.
