Yesterday Greg brought in 195lbs of glass, a good day for him. He gets up at five or six every day and goes to the same neighborhood in Piedmont where people save cans for him. "They have it locked up for me. I just ring the doorbell and they let me in," he says. "I met them and they just liked me and started saving stuff for me." Greg used to work in inventory at a near-by recycling plant. Without a car to make the commute, he had to quit when the plant moved to Richmond.
