The Unlikely Hikers

For some people, getting outside and enjoying the health benefits of nature is not just a walk in the park. Even when the trails are open to all, not everyone feels welcome on them. That’s why Jenny Bruso created the Unlikely Hikers, a group of folks expanding the notion of what it means to be “outdoorsy.” Reporter Cassady Rosenblum packed some trail mix and caught up with them at Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland.
