Stuck in Berkeley

lWhile her teachers and fellow students travel to Cambridge, England for research and field work at the end of March, Parisa Mir will be forced to stay behind. She desperately wants to go with them but is afraid that leaving the country, even for her education, might actually risk her education.

Mir is an international student from Iran, stuck in Berkeley because of the U.S. government’s unpredictable immigration policy. She told us her story.

We also hear from Ivor Emmanuel, director of the UC Berkeley International Office. The office has a special website dedicated to Trump Administration Policy Updates.
