An innovative new housing program being tested this spring at UC Berkeley has two goals: create affordable housing, and help unlikely roommate pairs find each other.
Through an extensive matching process, Berkeley Home Match connects graduate students looking for housing with retired Cal staff and faculty members who have the space.
Jesse Clements reports on this unusual collaboration between the UCB Retirement Center, Senior Community Ashby Village and the university.
